A Photographic Study of All Things West Virginia

Autumn Carpet

I remember well how cold it was the day this image was made, wish we could pipe some into July of 2011.

I’ve been playing around with images from the past couple years, and occasionally coming across something worthy of posting.  This image is an alternate take on one of my more popular recent efforts titled “Frosty Leaves”.

And do not forget to tell us how you track down those precious places Michael – no doubt weather conditions are important for your Frosty Leaves series…

    • Hey Alf, thanks for commenting- one component of getting a nice photograph is being in the right place at the right time (i.e. the Frosty Leaves series), but in my estimation the most important and challenging thing is to be able to see the photograph in front of you. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in preconceived notions and not be open to what a scene presents.

…o.k. Michael – your Frosties or the treetops piece are really very helpful for me.
