A Photographic Study of All Things West Virginia

Abandoned 21

Another in a series of photographs from this past weekend of abandoned dwellings.
This old home had been stripped of most of its furniture and personal belongings, but a handful of items still remained.  The interior was remarkably intact considering the condition of the outside of the home.  I considered entering for a closer look, but, well, chickened out.  You know, threat of falling through the floor into a pit of copperheads etc.
The inside of the building was exceptionally dim, this image was exposed 20 seconds at f9/ISO 200 and I still had to push it +1 EV to get it as bright as is shown.
