There are a few rumblings of autumn color starting to appear in the western Appalachian foothills of West Virginia.

This small selection of trees was isolated against a foggy backdrop at Upper Mud River Lake in Lincoln County, WV.

  1. Just the right amount of fall colors here, Mike. This flaming red and orange that so many photographers present can really cause sore eyes.

    • Thanks Markus! I try to keep things realistic looking, as per my best recollection of the scene. That doesn’t make the images any more valid or better than other approaches, but it does make me happy. 🙂
