Great great shot here, Mike. I hate to say it, but I think the truck on the far left needs a bit of a wax job. No offense to the owner and all that, it just doesn’t quite look as shiny as it might from here. It also looks like perhaps one of the tires is flat. Just sayin’.
I just love this style of imagery. There is a deep and wonderful story in this photograph that reveals itself if you open up to receiving it. Yep, I find beauty in the oddest of places.

Thanks Toad Hollow! You know, it’s great to shoot scenery and things that are commonly considered beautiful, but to me the single-minded pursuit of wild and unspoiled landscapes doesn’t tell enough of the story. There’s a certain gritty truth in scenes like these that many times reveal a beauty all their own.

Hey Brenda, thanks for commenting! I think there are more people with family roots in Clay County than people who actually live there.
